Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Manager ( QHSE) (HR003)

Job Purpose 
The candidate will reports to Deputy Chief Executive Officer. He will be overall responsible for the smooth operations of Quality, Health, Safety & Environment functions. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. Design, implement, review and modify policies, processes, systems relating to QHSE, undertake corrective and preventive measures to ensure safe working conditions for all employees and thereby contribute towards other organizational policies. 
2. Ensure the compliance of the organization to all statutory standards connected with Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE). 
3. Identify the safety issues / hazards in the organization; device and implement solutions to counter the same.
4. Ensure that all employees are aware about environmental and safety policies of the organization. 
5. Ensure the maintenance QHSE management systems certifications and carry out necessary trainings in this regard. 
6. Ensure timely submission of statutory returns relating to QHSE. 
7. Liaise with various government departments and authorities and ensure maintenance of all QHSE records. 
8. Identify avenues for cost reduction in the QHSE functions and implement the same. 
9. Prepare annual budgets and monitor the same periodically and act on deviations from the budgets.

10. Track the latest trends in technology relating to QHSE and explore the feasibility of implementation of the same. 
11. Ensure that the necessary training and development of staff under him takes place in all forms whether by way of sponsorships to programs (internal and external); organizing specific programs, through on-the-job training, job rotation etc


Education, skills & Experience:
- B.Sc or higher in HSE, preferably having additional qualification in quality management system, Recognized qualification in HSE such as NEBOSH & IOSH certificate.
- Min.15 years work experience in the relevant work field preferably in cement plant or similar mining and processing plants.
- Strong communication skills both in Arabic and English. 
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work within different nationalities.
